Older Adults Podcasting Trailers debut at the West Vancouver Memorial Library Saturday, March 22, 2025
For the last four weeks, I've been working with a group of older adults exploring the world of podcasting. With 20 great budding content makers, we worked together to overcome technophobia, to a degree, and delved into some of the fundamentals of podcasting.
Now you can hear the participants' trailers and ask your questions about podcasting that you've always wanted to ask:
Saturday, March 22 , 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Free
Join our inaugural podcasting cohort and their facilitator JJ Lee for a listening party and talkback! You’ll get to hear trailers for each of the participants’ podcasts, as well as a trailer for the Library’s podcast about the four-week project. Learn what these West Vancouverites are talking about, hear about their podcasting journey, and discover what learnings they had along the way.
Refreshments will be served.

Podcasting Update: Stand Up Eight by Lenore Rattray
Friday, March 7, 2025 - It's been a long journey and I'm proud to have been included in Lenore Rattray's efforts to tell her story.
Three years ago, as part of my mentoring work, I suggested to Lenore she try recounting through a podcast her experiences surviving the impacts of being held for nine days by a double-murdered and serial sexual assault perpetrator when she was 21 years old.
Lenore set out quite bravely to create nine episodes and after three years she's completed the first season.
She has reframed how true crime can be done. I'm so happy to share it with you. And so proud of Lenore.
